Discord Privacy Policy
What Discord data Arsenal uses: Arsenal Bot in the official Arsenal Discord server, Sign in with Discord in the Arsenal app, and the staff dashboard.
Last updated: October 27, 2026
In short
- We never read your messages. Arsenal Bot does not have the Message Content intent and never reads or stores what you write on Discord.
- We do not track your Discord status or activity. Arsenal Bot does not have the Presence intent.
- We never see your email, password, direct messages or list of servers. Sign in with Discord does not ask for them.
- Your data is not sold, used for ads, or used to train AI models.
- You can ask us to delete it at any time, as explained under Your choices.
Arsenal Bot
Arsenal Bot runs only in the official Arsenal Discord server. It works through slash commands, buttons and a few server events:
- Boost thanks. Discord tells the bot when a member’s profile in the server changes (Server Members intent). The bot only checks whether the member started boosting, and if so posts a thank-you message.
- Default roles. Staff can run /syncroles, which reads the member list and gives the default member roles to members who have none (Server Members intent).
- Support tickets. Opening a ticket creates a private thread. The bot records the ticket number, category, your user ID, the thread, when it was opened and closed, who closed it and the reason given. The conversation stays in the thread on Discord; the bot does not copy it.
- Spam trap. Some channels are traps that people are told not to use, to catch hacked and spam accounts. The bot only checks who posted there, never what was posted. If someone posts in one, the bot deletes that message and their messages from the last 14 days, replaces their roles with a suspended role, and sends them a direct message explaining how to appeal. Members with exempt roles, such as staff, are skipped.
- Server rules. /sendrules posts the rules message.
What the bot stores, on our own server:
| Data | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Ticket records (user IDs, thread, times, close reason) | Running the support tickets and keeping their history | Until deleted on request |
| Default role reports (username and user ID of members who got roles) | Letting staff check what /syncroles changed | Until deleted on request |
| Channel and role IDs of the bot settings | Configuration | While the bot is in use |
| Logs (username and user ID of members affected by a bot action) | Fixing problems and reviewing moderation actions | 30 days |
Sign in with Discord
The Lobby System in the Arsenal app is optional and needs Sign in with Discord. When you sign in, Discord shows you exactly what is shared. We ask for two permissions:
- identify: your user ID, username, display name and avatar. Not your email.
- guilds.join: the Lobby System is for members of the Arsenal Discord server, so if you are not in it yet, you are added with the Member role.
The access token Discord gives us is used once, during sign-in, and is not stored. We then read your roles in the Arsenal server to unlock staff and supporter features.
What the Lobby System stores:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Discord user ID, nickname, avatar, the display name you choose, your Arsenal roles, first and last sign-in | Your Lobby System profile |
| Lobbies you create or join (name, settings, mod list, players) | Showing and running lobbies |
| Lobby chat messages, with your user ID and nickname | Moderation: chat is logged, as shown when you join a lobby, and checked when someone reports it |
| Friends, friend requests and blocked users; clans, clan invites and join requests | The friends and clans features |
| Bans (time and reason) and the hashed device tokens described in section 6.2 of the license | Keeping banned users out of the Lobby System |
Other players see your display name, avatar and Arsenal role badges in lobbies, friends and clans. Your friends and clan mates see whether you are online in Arsenal; this is your status in the app, not on Discord.
Staff dashboard
Arsenal staff sign in to a private dashboard with Discord, using the identify and guilds.members.read permissions, so the dashboard can check their staff roles in the Arsenal server. For staff accounts it stores the user ID, name, avatar, roles and permissions.
Moderation actions taken by staff, such as kicks and bans, are recorded with who took them, who they affected and when, so they can be reviewed.
How long it is kept
- Bot logs: 30 days.
- Lobby System profile, friends and clans: as long as you use the Lobby System, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Lobby chat logs: as long as needed to review reports, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Bans and device tokens: while the ban applies.
- Tickets, role reports and moderation records: kept as the history of the server, until you ask us to delete the ones about you.
Your choices
- Do not sign in. Everything in Arsenal except the Lobby System works without a Discord account.
- Disconnect Arsenal from Discord in Discord under User Settings, Authorized Apps.
- Leave the Arsenal Discord server. Arsenal Bot stops receiving anything about you.
- Ask us to see or delete your data at a.marucci@rsnl.gg or with a ticket in the Arsenal Discord server. We answer within 30 days. A ban, and the data needed to enforce it, can be kept while the ban applies.
